There's a bit of rococo in the illustrations of Charles Martin (1868-1934). The sky may be gray and wintry but there is a lot going on in this image of a sassy skater. Oh, these images from the past few days make me feel chilled, even though I'm missing all the snow.
The ideal, I think, would by 'Hollywood snow.' A pretty dusting on trees and rooftops, but nothing on the streets and sidewalks, nothing that needs to be shoveled or scraped or chopped.
